Terms and Conditions

Loek provides a smartphone-free information device for students that displays school data via an e-ink display. The service includes the Loek device, firmware updates, and synchronization with Somtoday.

The service is intended for students and their parents/guardians in the Netherlands who use Somtoday as their student tracking system.

All prices on our website are in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise stated.

Payment is made via the payment methods available on our website (including iDEAL, credit card, and Bancontact). Payments are securely processed by Mollie.

We reserve the right to change prices. Price changes do not apply to orders already placed.

Physical products are shipped within 1-5 business days to the specified address within the Netherlands.

Digital products (such as the DIY firmware) are delivered via email after payment.

The risk of damage or loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery.

All Loek devices come with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, in accordance with Dutch consumer law.

The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects under normal use. Damage from careless use, drops, water damage, or unauthorized modifications is not covered.

For warranty claims, contact us at info[at]focusmet.nl with your order number and a description of the issue.

All intellectual property rights to Loek software, firmware, website, and related materials belong to Focusmet B.V..

When purchasing a Loek product, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the software for its intended purpose.

Copying, reverse-engineering, reselling, or distributing the software without written permission from Focusmet B.V. is not permitted.

Focusmet B.V. is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits.

Our liability is in all cases limited to the amount you paid for the product or service.

Focusmet B.V. is not liable for non-performance due to force majeure, including disruptions at Somtoday, internet problems, or other circumstances beyond our control.

You have the right to cancel the agreement without giving reasons within 14 days of receiving the product (right of withdrawal under Dutch distance selling regulations).

The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging. Return shipping costs are at the buyer’s expense.

After receipt and inspection of the returned product, the purchase amount will be refunded within 14 days.

These terms and conditions and all agreements with Focusmet B.V. are governed by Dutch law.

Disputes are preferably resolved through mutual consultation. If this fails, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
